Welcome to the Dining Room

Let the scent of freshly baking bread and the coming meal invite you in to our spacious dining room.  As you settle in at your reserved table, whether for breakfast or dinner, you can enjoy a relaxing view through the wide windows that line our dining space.  Since our founding in 1957, we have taken pride in the quality of our fare with everything being made in-house.  Breakfast service begins at 7 am, preparing you for your day on the lake, and you’ll hear the sound of the dinner bell at 6 pm, calling you for the evening meal.  

Our Cook

Donna began working at New Moon Lodge as a server in 1978 and married Dwight one year later, becoming a part of the Moen family.  In 1989, Patsy Moen handed over the reigns and Donna became our cook.  With 30 years of experience, Donna makes sure that you are met with hearty, satisfying meals during your stay.  Make sure you try some of her renowned “Sweeties”, our classic cinnamon buns.  

Our Culinary Beginnings

Patsy claims that she learned how to cook through the necessity of feeding the guests that began to arrive so many years ago.  Beginning with a simple knowledge of cooking, she learned as she went, discovering her talents.  Patsy established a reputation for preparing excellent food, with each menu crafted with the same care she puts in to feeding her family.  She passed this knowledge on to Donna, to take care of the next generation of guests, and is enjoying her retirement in Morson, leaving the lodge in good hands.

Dinner Menu

Hot dinners are served at 6pm every evening in the main Lodge.
Our dinner menu is set and includes your choice of hot or cold beverages such as coffee, tea or pop.
Please inform us of any food allergies when making your reservations.

The smell of coffee will greet your morning as you step into the dining room.
Breakfast begins at 7am every morning and includes your choice of hot or cold beverages

Shore Lunch

Take your lunch in the traditional Lake of the Woods way, cooked on the lake shore over a fire.
Shore lunch is included in all of our American Plan packages and is available as an add-on to our other rates.
The fish you catch are cooked for you by your guide, or yourself if you go it alone, and all the sides are included in your lunch box.
